Helping You Reach Your Potential with Psychological Evaluation and Testing
Child Full Psychological Evaluation
Includes assessment of aptitude (I.Q), achievement, behavioral, emotional, and adaptive skills.
Details
A full psychological evaluation of a child is a comprehensive assessment of a child's history and a thorough description of the child's current psychological functioning, including cognitive, behavioral, and emotional strengths and weaknesses. Assessment of the child's academic skills and adaptive skills is also included. A psychological evaluation may be used to answer questions referring therapists, treating physicians, or educators have about the child's functioning, needs, or diagnosis. Such an evaluation can help identify treatment goals and guide treatment decision-making as well as assist the school with information for educational planning. A full psychological evaluation will consist of a clinical interview with the child and the parent/guardian(s). Psychological testing will be completed in two sessions that will last approximately two hours each. Rating scales and questionnaires will be completed by the parent/guardian(s), by the child (when age-appropriate), and by the teacher(s). A feedback session will be held either in-person or online to discuss the written report that will include detailed findings and recommendations.
